Traffic Control Persons

Certified Traffic Control Persons

To meet individual client requirements, our Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) have received training in a variety of flagging requirements. They are the frontline professionals who ensure safe and orderly traffic flow around construction zones, utility worksites, and special events.

Our TCPs are trained and certified under WorkSafeBC standards and hold current TCS (Traffic Control Supervisor) and TCP certifications. They bring professionalism, clear communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to safety to every assignment.

What Our TCPs Do

Our Traffic Control Persons are responsible for managing the movement of vehicles and pedestrians through or around worksites. Their role is critical in preventing accidents and keeping projects running smoothly.

  • Direct traffic using flags, signs, and hand signals in accordance with BC traffic laws
  • Coordinate with construction crews and site supervisors to manage traffic flow
  • Monitor changing site conditions and adapt traffic control measures accordingly
  • Ensure pedestrian safety, including safe passage through active worksites
  • Set up and maintain temporary traffic control devices (signs, cones, barriers)
  • Communicate with other TCPs via two-way radio for coordinated control
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and incident reports as required
